July 4th Demo, Sandy Beach
J
uly 3 - 4 (Saturday/Sunday)
This is our biggest recruiting opportunity of the year.  Please
bring along a variety of things you can show off to folks who stop
by.  A&S projects, foods, armor or weapons you are making, or
anything else you can share are welcome.  Please bring
pavilions if you have them.

Food: There are usually food vendors.  Also feeling free to bring
your own food and/or food to share.

Site: Sandy Beach, field 4 (the farthest one, near the
playground, picnic shelters, and Treadwell Mine ruins).  There is
no site fee.  No ground fires.  We are permitted to put up
pavilions as early as Saturday and to camp out overnight. RV's
are also welcome.  If you are driving over on the 4th, please be
aware that you need to arrive a couple of hours before the
parade (which is at 3pm).  The autocrat strongly suggests
arriving by 11am since requests for fighting demonstrations start
about noon.  Parking also fills up by noon.

Autocrat:  Karl Helweg, THEKarlMarx at cs.com, 789-2871.
Directions: After crossing the Douglas Bridge, turn left (south)
onto Douglas Highway.  At the Y in the road (in front of the
Montessori school), bear left.  The baseball fields will be on your
right.  Field 4 is the farthest one, by the picnic shelters.
